Paralegal Manager – for top tier global law firm in California. This hybrid role is responsible for management/supervision of the west coast paralegal team (10 paralegals). This role can be based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Palo Alto. Duties are mostly supervisory/workflow coordination with active paralegal work only on as needed basis. There is no billable requirement. Flexibility for OT when the need arises, but this role offers a strong work life balance and much more typical hours compared to a Sr Paralegal/Case Manager who is attending trial and/or working OT frequently otherwise.
Duties: Assign projects, coordinate paralegal workflows, and demand forecasting. Assist with capture, analysis and effective use of metrics including utilization and billable hours. Manage equity in hours to ensure even workload distribution. Coordinate/Assist with orientation and onboarding. Maintain administrative records such as attendance and PTO tracking. Participate in annual performance reviews, providing coaching and feedback. Assist in interviewing/hiring.
Position Requirements: Must be qualified to practice as a paralegal under CA state law. Understanding of litigation process and discovery management procedures. Must have significant experience as a litigation paralegal with at least four years of supervisory experience. Proficiency with MS Office including Copilot. Management/supervisory experience required. Experience conducting performance evaluations and coordinating workflows. Salary up to 178k++ or more commensurate with experience.
Senior Litigation Paralegal - for powerhouse global law firm.**Hybrid position located Washington, DC. **Ideal candidate is an experienced, career-track litigation paralegal with substantial work experience in AmLaw 100 firms or specialized boutique law firms, trial prep and trial experience, and a Bachelor's degree. Five plus years of litigation paralegal experience is required. Recent trial experience, trial prep, experience traveling to trial as needed, setting up war rooms, required. Candidates must also have strong cite checking experience. This position will contribute as lead paralegal on large, complex cases and provide instruction and informal mentorship to junior paralegals.
Duties: All elements of litigation case management, including file management, discovery, and trial activities. Utilize case calendaring system to track filings and appropriately distribute information. Utilize existing systems and procedures and/or establish new procedures to facilitate organization and retrieval of documents by and for the attorneys on the case team. On a case-specific basis, coordinate and oversee the tasks of more junior paralegals and other support staff as needed on large litigation matters and/or investigations in all phases of litigation from discovery through trial/arbitration. Liaise between case team attorneys and support staff as needed to ensure that case-specific paralegal services meet expectations. Interact with outside entities (such as courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors, and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed in support of firm trials and arbitrations. Lead discovery and witness preparation support efforts. Draft, review, and/or analyze routine legal documents as requested; conduct legal research. Provide formal and/or informal guidance and training to more junior paralegals regarding litigation procedures and best practices.
Position Requirements: Must have at least five years of work experience as a litigation paralegal in an AmLaw 100 firm or specialized litigation firm. Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial. Experience preparing for and attending trials/arbitrations/hearings. Experience coordinating trial/arbitration logistics. Experience developing and maintaining processes to maintain paper and electronic case files. Proficiency with cite-checking and Bluebook rules. Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects with changing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with court and administrative agency filings, including electronic or e-filings. Experience using e-discovery databases (e.g. Relativity, Nuix). Experience using litigation support software for managing files and transcripts preferred. (e.g. LiveNote, CaseMap, etc.) Proficiency using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and Adobe Acrobat in a legal setting. Bachelor’s degree required. Paralegal certificate preferred. Flexibility for overtime work and travel. Salary is $110k - $137k commensurate with experience plus paid OT, bonus and generous employee benefits.
Litigation Paralegal - Hybrid role for a top tier global law firm client in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate is a mid-level litigation paralegal with large law firm or specialized boutique experience working on complex litigation, or arbitration.
Duties:This position works closely with senior paralegals and lawyers, conducting litigation case management, including document and file management, case calendaring, discovery support, and trial prep and logistic activities. On case-specific basis, coordinate and oversee tasks of more junior paralegals and other support staff as needed. nteract with outside entities (e.g. courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors, and other law firms) to coordinate activities as needed in support of assigned cases. Draft or review routine legal documents as requested by lawyers; conduct legal research.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, at least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience in an Amlaw100 firm or specialized litigation or dispute resolution firm. Experience with all stages of litigation, including use of current e-discovery database tools, e-filing practices, and trial prep required. Experience working at trial or arbitration proceedings strongly preferred. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to take ownership of projects. Proven successful ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work well under deadlines of complex modern litigation, investigation, and arbitration matters. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Proficient with cite-checking, Bluebook rules, and California Style Manual preferred. Flexibility for overtime work and reasonable business travel as needed. Salary commensurate with experience ($72k - $90k+)plus paid OT.
Litigation Docket Clerk - REMOTE, for global law firm. This position can be fully remote but candidates must be local to Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Palo Alto office in CA.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and litigation docketing law firm experience. The role is fully remote but ideally candidates live local to one of the CA office locations. Prior California court docketing and court filing experience is required. This role is responsible for providing support to the automated docket/calendar system and procedures in California, and federal cases. This involves data entry, daily maintenance, and case teams’ coordination.
Duties: Under attorney supervision, enter docket dates from court documents and correspondence and confirm appropriate maintenance of data in the CourtAlert system. Daily preparation/distribution of reports from the docketing system. Support for information workflows related to scheduling/calendaring/procedures in litigation matters in CA. Assess processes and recommend improvements to systems and procedures related to docketing. Respond to requests regarding litigation scheduling, and court rules. First-level support for CA state and federal ECF, pleadings and court papers filing, and case record file access. Provide back up support for general paralegal tasks.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Must have at least 1-3 years of docketing or similar litigation calendar database experience at a large law firm. Hands-on experience with CourtAlert system preferred. Working knowledge of CA and Federal court rules, including local rules of the various courts in CA essential. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills, with a strong service orientation. Prior paralegal experience is a plus. Flexibility for OT. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Salary range is $88-$100k or more plus OT pay and bonus.
Senior Trademark Paralegal – for top tier global law firm. This role is responsible for supporting the Trademark Prosecution practice group and can be located out of Chicago, New York, or Washington, DC office. **Candidates should submit a cover letter and a short writing sample for consideration.
Responsibilities: Preparing/filing/maintaining trademark documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and foreign trademark offices, including applications, responses to office actions, statements of use, extensions of time, notices of allowance, ownership or name changes, post-publication amendments, powers of attorney, petitions, assignments, and renewal filings (Sections 8, 9, and 15). Generating and reviewing global trademark search reports using SAEGIS and Corsearch. Preparing client cost estimate spreadsheets. Establishing and maintaining trademark files and related document collections. Drafting routine correspondence and communications. Managing docket entries, including tracking, clearing deadlines, and maintaining reminders. Communicating with clients and foreign trademark agents regarding filings and status updates.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree ideal. Must have a minimum of three years of experience in domestic and international trademark prosecution. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, electronic intellectual property resources, the USPTO website, and IP docketing systems such as Inprotech. TTAB experience preferred. Ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume workload. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze and address complex information. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel. Salary for this position is $92k - $130k commensurate with experience and location.
Senior Manager of IP – for top tier global law firm client in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for the firmwide IP Prosecution practice management.
Duties: Supervise several direct reports including Docketing, Patent Agent, Patent Law Clerk, and IP administrative staff team. Develop best practices and procedures for the department. Conducts performance appraisals/evaluations and professional development plans. Manages foreign and domestic IP Prosecution dockets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Monitors IP law updates and trends in foreign and domestic jurisdictions. IP team liaison with internal departments. Manages relationships with third-party agencies. Coordinates IP staff training and development. Supervises complex IP projects for attorneys. Reviews departmental budget and expenses. Manages case/client intake and file transfer processes. Responsible for general prosecution support functions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Must have at least eight years relevant IP experience and three years of supervisory experience. Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, electronic intellectual property resources, the USPTO website, and IP docketing systems such as Inprotech. Familiarity with SAEGIS and Coresearch. Salary range is $154k to $192k commensurate with experience.
