Litigation Paralegal – REMOTE – for highly regarded law firm. Paralegals provides assistance in all phases of client engagements. Candidate must understand both office and legal processes and procedures with strong project management skills.

Duties: Project Management. Document meeting minutes and interview notes and circulate. Coordinate client communications, including setting up meetings and coordinating schedules. Litigation Case Management - Maintain case filings. Assist case teams in the development of materials supporting client litigation matters. Create and modify documents. Monitor client litigation dockets, as necessary. Communicate with client legal department and litigation service providers, as necessary. Content Management – Maintain/update content of matter-related tools, including intranet, client contacts, calendars, project plans and workflow tracking. Manage internal document management process for designated administrative initiatives or client engagements. Production/Packaging of Deliverables - Assist in drafting, organization and editing of client deliverables. Review deliverables for completeness and standardization of style and format. Oversee coordination of delivery, including printing, media generation and physical presentation to client. Investigation/Research - Utilize search tools to acquire project-specific knowledge.

Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate ideal. Must have at least 4-6 years of experience as a paralegal, litigation experience preferred. Critical thinker, with excellent analytical abilities. Sense of urgency with the ability to manage time pressures, anticipating and responding to the needs of internal and external clients. Microsoft office productivity software skills, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Proven blue booking/cite checking ability. Prior experience with OrionLaw software or other similar business ERP or accounting packages. Salary is commensurate with experience and location $95k – 125k.

 

Senior Litigation Paralegal - for powerhouse global law firm. **Hybrid position with remote and some in office work. Can be located out of the Washington, DC, NYC, Boston, San Francisco, Palo Alto or Los Angeles office. **Ideal candidate is an experienced, career-track litigation paralegal with substantial work experience in AmLaw 100 firms or specialized boutique law firms, trial prep and trial experience, and a Bachelor's degree. Five plus years of litigation paralegal experience is required. Recent trial experience, trial prep, and experience traveling to trial as needed, setting up war rooms, etc.is required. Candidate must also have strong cite checking experience. This position will contribute as lead paralegal on large, complex cases and provide instruction and informal mentorship to junior paralegals at the Firm.

Duties: All elements of litigation case management, including file management, discovery, and trial activities. Utilize case calendaring system to track filings and appropriately distribute information. On a case-specific basis, coordinate and oversee the tasks of more junior paralegals and other support staff as needed on large litigation matters and/or investigations in all phases of litigation from discovery through trial/arbitration. Liaise between case team attorneys and support staff as needed to ensure that case-specific paralegal services are meeting the team’s expectations. Identify opportunities to improve systems/procedures, implementing new systems as appropriate. Interact with outside entities (such as courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors, and other law firms) to gather information or coordinate activities as needed in support of firm activities, specifically trials and arbitrations. Lead discovery and witness preparation support efforts. Draft, review, and/or analyze routine legal documents as requested by attorneys; conduct legal research under attorney supervision.

Position Requirements: Must have at least five years of work experience as a litigation paralegal in an AmLaw 100 firm or specialized litigation practice firm. Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial. Experience preparing for and attending trials/arbitrations/hearings. Experience coordinating trial/arbitration logistics, including negotiating for workspace, setting-up remote office space, and coordinating with vendors. Proficient with cite-checking and Bluebook rules. Superior organizational skills, with ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects with changing priorities. Ability to integrate special assignments or projects into workflow. Experience with court and administrative agency filings, including electronic or e-filings. Experience using e-discovery databases (e.g. Relativity, Nuix Discover). BS/BA required. Paralegal certificate preferred. Flexibility for overtime work and travel as needed. Litigation Support –eDiscovery - Relativity – fully remote. For prominent law firm that has a focus on eDiscovery, information governance, data privacy, and data security. This firm also collaborates with Am Law 100 law firms in roles ranging from co-counsel to consulting and testifying expert witnesses and has appeared in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. This role is responsible for supporting the firm’s eDiscovery Review Services position in the eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy services markets. This position is 100% Remote. Travel to client sites may be required.

Duties: Create and edit fields, choices, layouts, persistent highlighting sets, searches, STRs, batch sets, and production sets. Designing privilege review and privilege log workflows. Create substantive and procedural quality control checks. Create TIFF and native redaction workflows. Review search terms for proper dtSearch syntax. Assist with culling and analyzing data loaded to review platforms. Design and run both pre- and post-production quality control and validation checks. Verify and validate data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.

Position Requirements: At least (preferably more) three years of experience in eDiscovery and Document Review within a law firm, consulting advisory firm, or corporate management function. Bachelor’s degree, JD, or advanced degree in business, legal or related field preferred. Experience working in and with remote teams. Flexibility to travel up to 25% percent of the time. Ability to travel internationally. Proven technical expertise in specialized areas of litigation such as discovery, document review, and other case data management strategies (e.g., expertise in all aspects of Relativity and/or other processing and hosting platforms, data validation, database management and solutioning complex issues arising in large document review scenarios. Experience managing technical dimensions of review projects within Relativity and other review platforms. Experience supporting client relationships and engagements, including the identification of key issues, and development of strategies, standardized procedures and analyses. Experience managing and/or assisting with the coordination of the collection, processing, review, and production of electronically stored information (“ESI”) and paper records. Ability to draft defensibility documentation for projects. Experience with monitoring and analyzing data trends and patterns to detect potential issues or inconsistencies. Experience managing vendor activity; including the ability to analyze, gather, and write clear job specifications for vendors and follow projects/tasks throughout the process. Proficiency using a variety of software, processes, and tools and ability to provide quality analysis and recommendation of strategies related to the range of elements appropriate to the client situation. Proven technical, client management, project plan design, facilitation, and project leadership skills. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to function in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. The motivation to learn and understand technology and findings, effectively discuss those issues with technically skilled individuals, and convey findings for people without technology experience. Must be technology-adept and have excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office. Excellent, effective, and persuasive written and interpersonal communication skills. Salary 100k – 125k commensurate with experience.

Legal Assistant Supervisor/Lead Paralegal – REMOTE for prominent law firm in Northern Virginia and Chicago.**This position is fully remote.  This role supports the Senior Manager, Practice Management & Client Services, conducts advanced litigation tasks, and manages the Paralegal and Legal Assistant Team. Will supervise a team of 6. Duties include supervising the day-to-day workflow of the Paralegals, Senior Legal Assistants, and Legal Assistants, who support client matters, administrative initiatives, and all phases of client engagements.  This role oversees daily staffing/process decisions for the team and has direct input on performance management for them.

Duties: Supervise Paralegals, Senior Legal Assistants, and Legal Assistants including assigning work, reviewing work, and monitoring processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality of work. Oversees the Paralegals in the docketing process and entry of deadlines into software. Trains paralegals to conduct research and supervises Paralegals and Legal Assistant in thorough and meticulous cite checking of all legal and thought leadership documents. Works with Senior Manager, Practice Management & Client Services to recruit, interview, and hire applicants for Paralegal, Senior Legal Assistant, and Legal Assistants positions and makes recommendations for hiring, promotion, disciplinary action, and termination. Works with Senior Manager, Practice Management & Client Services to identify and implement training programs. Works with Senior Manager, Practice Management & Client Services to modify and/or streamline existing processes and procedures. Evaluates employee performance and resolves issues as needed; ensures appropriate documentation is provided to Human Resources for all performance related matters. Assists in analyzing and reporting on Teams’ time to assess workload, productivity, and ability to meet ongoing Firm needs. Mentors and supports Paralegals, Senior Legal Assistants, and Legal Assistants. As necessary, performs essential duties, such as: Reviewing/editing legal documents, acting as the subject matter expert for review proofreading assignments. Assigns/tracks 2LR process for review of external facing materials by Firm subject matter experts. Assists in the drafting, organization, and editing of client deliverables. Tracks billable and non-billable time, expenses, and other administrative tasks. Ensures appropriate in-office support coverage is provided for both Chicago and Chantilly offices, including coordination of rotating team weekly coverage.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; higher preferred. Paralegal  Certificate preferred. Litigation experience required. Knowledge of e-filing throughout U.S. juisdictions. 7-10 years of experience in the legal field in a litigation related role. Solid understanding of people management and litigation processes and procedures. Demonstrates superior client service, integrity, and commitment to efficiency . Excels in critical thinking and analytical tasks, with proven organizational skills. Has experience training and mentoring others in areas needing improvement. Prior supervisory experience. Manages multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with consistent, timely follow-up. Docketing software experience.  Thrives in a high-energy, fast paced environment.  Ability to improve quality, cost, delivery, and productivity through continuous improvement activities desirable. Salary Range:$120,000.00 To 140,000.00 commensurate with experience.

Senior Corporate Paralegal – for prominent global law firm. *This is a mostly remote position and can be located in Los Angeles, Palo Alto, or San Francisco. Los Angeles is fully remote. This role is responsible for supporting lawyers in transactional practice support and general corporate housekeeping.

Duties: Prepare/revise drafts of legal documents for review, including, documents related to the formation and dissolution of various corporate entities; ancillary documents related to corporate financing, and M&A transactions; foreign qualifications; and UCC financing statements. Assist with SEC filings including Form D filings, confidential treatment requests, and Registration Statements. Compile/summarize information for review relating to transactions. Conduct corporate and securities law research. Coordinate transaction tasks/projects with lawyers, clients, advisors, and other parties, in person, via telephone, and by written correspondence. Coordinate closings and attend to post-closing tasks/projects; file and track transaction documents with federal, state, and local authorities as required. Communicate regularly with lawyers and clients regarding status of tasks/projects. Assist with other projects as assigned.

Position Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience at a large law firm or corporate legal department with extensive experience in general corporate transactional support. Familiarity with all of the following and with extensive experience in at least one area: corporate financing transactions, M&A, private equity, and new venture formation. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree is required. A JD or other graduate degree is a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience, up to 170k plus paid OT, bonus.

Litigation Docket Clerk – for powerhouse law firm in San Francisco, CA.  *This is a hybrid-remote role. This role supports the Managing Attorney and Managing Clerk in coordinating clerical and administrative tasks.  This visible role interacts daily with lawyers, management, and staff. Strong interpersonal skills are important.

Duties: Record litigation documents in the docketing database and calculate procedural due dates. Assist with the maintenance of the litigation docket/preparation of documents. Provide administrative support to the Assistant Managing Clerk, as well as the Managing Attorney’s Office. Serve and file legal documents in various state and federal courts and agencies – electronically and physically. Create/maintain department-wide files/libraries/databases. Conduct data entry to maintain department databases.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. At least one year of experience in a law firm. Proficiency with calendaring or docketing systems ideal. Proficiency/experience with e-filing documents through the Federal CM/ECF system or NYSCEF is desired. Prior experience working with databases. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of tasks simultaneously. Strong project management skills. Discretion and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Exceptional client service orientation. Flexibility to work occasional IT if necessary. Salary is commensurate with experience, $50,000 to $54,000.  

Paralegal Supervisor – for top tier global law firm in Washington, DC. This role is reports to the Paralegal Manager. The DC office has 40+ paralegals.  This role is responsible for overseeing the 20 – 25 junior  entry level to mid-level paralegals. *This is a hybrid role with some in office work.

*Ideal candidate has mid – large law firm experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. Previous experience as a paralegal or case manager is ideal. Successful experience with project coordination, people management, training, writing evaluations, mentoring/coaching, and staffing required.

Responsibilities: coordinating work assignments; recruiting; occasionally taking a lead role in the initiation of new projects; mentoring paralegals and promoting best practices; evaluating effectiveness of training programs, monitoring performance of individual paralegals and the department. Providing continuing legal education by creating, coordinating, and presenting in-house training programs. Ensuring the success of the paralegal program according to standard business metrics, such as utilization, client satisfaction, and quality of work product. Resolving personnel problems, taking disciplinary action if necessary and terminating employees. Monitoring and managing productivity and resource availability. Reviewing and approving billable hours. Participating in annual salary reviews and evaluations; providing regular feedback and constructive criticism. Preparing departmental statistical reports.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to work independently and under pressure.  Flexibility for OT as required. Thorough understanding of the litigation process and common litigation support and discovery management procedures and concepts. At least 3 years as a litigation paralegal in a comparable setting. At least 1 year of supervisory experience required.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
